Sit back, don't take it too seriously, and you'll have a great time. Quickly becoming a classic in the genre for a reason — the main characters are deliberately not lovable, and Carrion is the surprise star you didn't see coming. Some of the world-building has gaps, but if you don't let it trip you up the ride is worth it. The last 100 pages go to the edge of the cliffs of insanity and jump off without a second thought.
