Everyone's favorite player to hate — until he isn't. Zanders is a bad-boy Chicago Raptors player who sleeps with a different woman in every city and keeps a running list. Stevie is the team's new flight attendant, curvy and self-deprecating in a way that will hurt your heart, and she wants absolutely nothing to do with him. She's the first woman who doesn't. He falls first, fast, and embarrassingly hard, and it's some of the best he-falls-first content in the genre. There's real emotional weight underneath the banter — body image, parental abandonment, mental health done with unusual care — and the found family of this hockey team is genuinely earned. If you want your hockey romance to feel like something after you put it down, this is it.
