A departure from the rest of the series, and stronger for it. Starts off intentionally disorienting, but everything comes together slowly and piecing it together is part of the fun. The emotional intensity caught me off guard. Eli and Ava are a slow burn that is worth the wait. These two are going to stick with me for a while.
