Liv Zander once again demonstrated why she is the queen of dark fantasy romance with this duology. If you love a gothic, dark story that explores love, death, and grief, you’re in luck. I wouldn’t start here if you’re new to dark fantasy romance, but if you’re looking for something unique in the genre, this is it. I went in expecting a fun ride, and finished feeling emotional and genuinely moved. The plot twists in this first book kept me trying to solve the mystery, and I jumped straight into Crown Me Yours after finishing.
