Brave New World by Aldous Huxley

Brave New World
Aldous Huxley
StandaloneBritt's take
Written in 1932 about a world so optimized for happiness that it has eliminated everything that makes life meaningful. The female characters haven’t aged perfectly and it’s worth knowing that going in — but if you can meet it where it was written, it’s a genuinely unsettling and thought-provoking portrait of what we might trade away in the name of comfort and progress. A classic for a reason.
