A dark hockey romance with a walking red flag of an MMC and an FMC who actually holds her own. Dahlia is a breath of fresh air in the genre—she doesn't just keep up, she pushes back. Kane is a lot, and the book doesn't apologize for it. His arc from detachment to devotion makes him more forgivable than he has any right to be. Check the trigger warnings, but if dark hockey romance is your thing, you won't be able to put it down. Sign me up for the rest of the series.
